We all love wine! Who doesn’t enjoy sipping a nice Bordeaux while taking in the sun-kissed mountain peaks of Colorado Springs as evening approaches? We all love those practices of liberalism that enable our exercise of the freedoms we cherish.

But what if we were to propose that wine, modern commerce, and freedom are not mutually exclusive concepts in our study of liberalism...?

Here's some fun but serious reading on an enduring commodity and its role in shaping the formation of American constitutional democracy.
