Jennifer Jensen
Jennifer Jensen is a teaching professor in the philosophy department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She received her PhD in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame in 2008. Her primary areas of interest are analytic metaphysics and epistemology, philosophy of religion, and ethics. She is particularly interested in the metaphysics of free will and issues at the intersection of free will and religion. Her current work focuses on the epistemology of disagreement—how should we think about our beliefs given the recognition that others disagree with us? She has recently published two papers on disagreement—"When to Give Weight to Weighty Religious Disagreement" (Religious Studies) and "Virtuous Belief Outsourcing" (Episteme).
When not teaching philosophy, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband Mark and three adultish sons. She also coaches a high school field hockey team and never misses a Notre Dame football game.
